Description

Responsibilities:

1. Vehicle Operation:

   • Safely operate commercial trucks under various driving conditions.
   • Drive long distances and local city work depending on the availability of the loads

2. Load and Unload Goods:

   • Ensure safe and secure loading/unloading of goods, either manually or pump truck
   • Verify load accuracy, check bills of lading, and inspect freight for damages.

3. Compliance:

   • Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies.
   • Maintain compliance with Canadian Transportation regulations

4. Vehicle Maintenance:

   • Perform routine inspections of the vehicle (brakes, tires, lights, fluids, etc.).
   • Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions and ensure repairs are completed before trips.

5. Documentation:

   • Keep accurate logs of hours worked, miles driven, fuel usage, and vehicle inspections.
   • Prepare delivery paperwork, maintain records of all goods transported.

6. Customer Service:

   • Interact with customers professionally during pickups and deliveries.
   • Address any delivery-related issues with dispatch or customer service teams.

Qualifications:

1. AZ License:

   • Must hold a valid AZ driver's license with a clean driving record.
   • Experience in commercial truck driving is typically required (ranging from 2+ years).

2. Education:

   • High school diploma or equivalent (though not always mandatory).

3. Endorsements:

   • Air brake endorsement (Z) is required.
   • Hazardous materials (HAZMAT), or other endorsements may be necessary depending on the job.

4. Physical Fitness:

   • Must be able to lift heavy loads, sit for long periods, and operate a vehicle for extended hours.
