Class 1 Driver - Quebec City
Location: TFI International, 6205 Wilfrid Hamel Blvd, Quebec City
Hourly Rate: $28 per hour
Shift Timing: 12-hour shift (3 PM to 3 AM)
Employment Type: Permanent and Dedicated

Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver for a permanent and dedicated position in Quebec City. Join our team to enjoy competitive pay and stable working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance:

    • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
    • Ensure the truck is in optimal working condition and report any mechanical issues.

  • Safe Driving Practices:

    • Operate the vehicle safely and responsibly.
    • Comply with all traffic laws and regulations.

  • Loading & Unloading:

    • Assist in loading and unloading cargo when needed.
    • Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transit.

  • Route Management & Navigation:

    • Plan and follow the most efficient routes.
    • Meet delivery schedules and deadlines.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate logbooks and ELD records.
    • Complete daily work reports and submit required paperwork.

  • Customer Service:

    • Communicate professionally with dispatch and clients.
    • Handle customer inquiries and provide excellent service.

  • Compliance & Safety Standards:

    • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
    • Manage hazardous materials safely (if applicable) and comply with transportation regulations.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 Driver's License
  • Minimum 2 years of verified experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
