Now Hiring DZ Driver – Dedicated Full-Time Position in Peterborough

We are hiring a DZ Driver for a dedicated, permanent, full-time position based in Peterborough, ON. This role involves Canada Post deliveries, with occasional tailgating required at certain locations.

Job Details:

• Location: Peterborough, ON
• Position: DZ Driver (Dedicated & Permanent)
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Pay Rate: $20 - $22 per hour
• Company: United Group of Companies

Requirements:

• Valid AZ or DZ license with a minimum of 1 year of experience
• Clean driver’s record, abstract, and CVOR (no suspensions or tickets)
• Valid status in Canada (work authorization required)
• Ability to pass a road test
• No criminal record
• Strong English communication skills
• Punctuality is a must – the driver must adhere to Canada Post schedules without delays

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a DZ-class truck following assigned routes
• Transport goods efficiently while adhering to schedules
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Assist with loading and unloading (occasional tailgating required)
• Ensure proper cargo handling and securement
• Maintain accurate driving logs and records
• Comply with all safety regulations and company policies
• Communicate with dispatch regarding route changes or delays
