United Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Truck Mechanic to join our team in Mississauga, ON. This is a full-time position offering a competitive pay range and an opportunity to work with one of the fastest-growing logistics firms.
Job Details:
📍 Location: 1191 Eglinton Avenue East, Mississauga, ON
💰 Pay: $25 - $35 per hour (based on experience)
🛠 Position: Full-Time Truck Mechanic
Job Responsibilities:
✔ Perform Preventative Maintenance – Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to ensure vehicles operate efficiently and safely.
✔ Diagnose & Repair Issues – Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in trucks and trailers.
✔ Brake & Suspension Repairs – Inspect and service brake systems, air compressors, and suspension components.
✔ Engine & Transmission Work – Conduct diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and related components.
✔ Tire & Wheel Maintenance – Inspect, replace, and balance tires to ensure proper alignment and performance.
✔ Safety & Compliance – Ensure all repairs meet industry safety regulations and company standards.
✔ Maintain Accurate Records – Document repairs, maintenance tasks, and inspections for compliance and reporting purposes.
✔ Emergency Repairs – Respond to urgent breakdowns and provide on-site repairs when necessary.
✔ Work with the Team – Collaborate with drivers, fleet managers, and other mechanics to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
✔ Valid mechanic license
✔ Minimum 2 years of truck/trailer repair experience
✔ Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to diagnose and repair various truck components
✔ Experience with diagnostics software and tools
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
